)Some of the highlights that I from the above.
1) 987FM Life's A Beach
Finally one of the rare local gigs I went that has barricade, which makes shooting so much easier, the band lineup is great, and lighting is decent!
A-ok with the outcome, cause I know I didn't shoot well at all.
2) Cosfest 2009
It's the time of the year, where most cosplayers will lose sleep and do their costumes for this event.
Met up with lot of Singapore and Malaysia friends over the event, and saw lots of good cosplays too!
Me is happy!
I missed most of the action on day 2, cause I reached the event around 5pm.
Why? I am at an epic shoot with epic casts on that day!
3) Hakuouki Photoshoot with Tenka
My first personal shoot of the year (1 of 4), though as usual, my shoots with her always end up raining before the shoot. LOL!
Never to fret, the shoot still went well and a short shoot at it too, and lastly we both are happy with the photos (preview shots).
Will start editing the photos soon, when I clear a couple of my backlogs.
4) Code Geass R2 (Mutuality) Photoshoot with
+ + My second personal shoot of the year! (2 of 4)
We planned this shoot probably around 2 months before the real deal.
I'm very excited, happy, nervous and stress at the same time.
Cause I'm shooting with an epic casts with epic costumes, so I must make it an epic photoshoot for the treble.
For this shoot, I tell myself that I must breakthrough to a higher level, and make it one of the most memorable cosplay shoot I ever had, combined with my perfectionist personality + I have no option for failure, it's a killer combo for high stress.
I was also informed that I would have a couple of assistants, so the though of getting a couple of lights + stands, plus the standard reflectors and stuffs came to my mind, and was also thinking to experiment with different lighting styles.
But due to unforeseen circumstances, one of the assistants can't make it, plus we got to deal with a tight schedule to shoot with.
So I have to drop the plan to experiment with the 2 lights, and make do with just using reflector.
Thank god for Xiaohui being there, honestly speaking, without her the shoot wouldn't be possible too.
The extra hands helped tremendously to the shoot!

for equipment support!Overall, I'm happy with the results, even though it's not perfect, but I'm really happy to work with these bunch of friends!

Let's just say I'm super busy + tired + drained.
Been shooting almost every weekends (Sat & Sun) for June and July.
Every weekdays are routine for me, 5.20am wake up and go work, 6.50-7.40pm (depends on how I travel back) reached back home from work.
After bathing and dinner, it will around 9pm, I will have the most 3 hours to do my photo-editing + emails + pr + photoshoot discussions + r&r.
Quite disappointed that I didn't get chosen for 1 of the 4 official photographers for Baybeats 2009.
This just destroy one of my photography resolution of the year, need to work harder, and also ask around for getting a media/photographer pass for the music festival.
On the bright side, the last 2 shoots I shot, I work with all 3 of my favorite local cosplayers!

+ !I feel really happy and blessed working with them, even though I may not expressed it out during the shoot, but yes I do feel this way. (I'm bad at expressing myself, probably at times I will get misunderstood or find myself in awkward moments.)
Didn't bought the bass on Monday though, the bundle package was out of my budget, will probably save up or buy the amp used.
Need to push myself harder, even at the expense of my health, to try to clear the backlogs faster, cause the second half of the year is pack with more shoots and gigs.
I rather burn myself out doing things I like, than to live a life full of regrets.
Time waits for no one.

hurhur yah lost a lot of sleep on Cosfest and pre-cosfest week my skin condition suffered so much that I had to use concealer all over my entire face sia... zz
This time round I took a couple of you guys photos at the event!
